just annoying! Especially since I hate to use my precious, expensive ink on trouble-shooting.

Is this just the way it is for some media, especially with Easy-PhotoPrint Ex (I'm using 4.7)? Or is there something else I can try? It's not the end of the world. Of course, I can tweak images before printing, but that seems silly to have to do for "pure" colors, on any output medium. I certainly could try Canon paper for covers, but discs would still be a problem. Other things (like always print preview) were also ignored (Google Docs printing did honor this, at least). This is what I use for printable discs and glossy paper for case covers.Specifically, I was trying to monkey with color settings, and I couldn't detect any change. Is it naive to assume that these colors should look basically "correct" for any output medium?Īlso, AFAICT, any printer settings (via Windows 10 Printers & Scanners) have no effect for Easy-PhotoPrint Ex. Other papers look dark (especially Blue - 0x0000ff). I tried a simple test of "pure" Red, Green, Blue, Magenta plain paper via Google Docs looked spot-on. Disc case covers were way dark with first glossy paper I tried (Staples Photo Supreme High Gloss) and are a little better with Staples Gloss White. Printable discs (Verbatim BD-R), glossy paper, etc. I personally suspect that the new papers are made by Ilford, but I can't find and proof.Printing to non-plain paper with my TS8120 is too dark. If the longevity can match Canon Photo Paper Pro or Platnium, then I could claim this paper is superior than Canon's own paper.īefore someone jump out and point to the link from many many years ago bashing Staples brand paper, I can tell you the new Staples brand paper are clearly different now. The only thing I can't test is the longevity of the print on this paper. There's sligh color difference compare with Canon Pro II but hardly noticeable. The version before 2008 was made in US, 72LB, smell bad, thiner than Canon Photo Paper Pro II. Print as good as Canon Photo Paper Pro II if not better. The latest version is made in Germany (packaged in US), started in 2008. I have exactly the same question and would like to share my experience with this paper on Canon Pro 9000 MKII for the 13x19 paper (sku 564116)īeware that there are multiple versions of this paper with same SKU number.
